Coming off the success of their debut LP, The Bombillas hit the studio once again to further their instrumental eclectic sound. Taking inspiration from Middle Eastern and African funk while refining their own artistic style, The Bombillas create a sonic palate the is distinctively unique. Side A features the psychedelic groove filled cut “Nac Nac” which reminisces something out of the early 70’s with phasers, delays, vintage synths, and a driving repetitive bass guitar. “Senebi” on the flip, dives into a more hypnotic state with a range of dynamic colors centered around a forward moving rhythm and contrasting melodic sections. Think cinematic soul with a cosmic Arabic twist. Both tracks feature Tyler Nuffer on lap steel and guitar, David Celia on keys and talking drum, Josh Wiener on bass, and Michael Duffy on drums and shakere. A must have 45 for collectors and DJ’s wanting to add a little more eclectic sounds to their set’s while still keeping a strong groove and vibe going.
