The release of this 45 is shaded with sadness as it arrives just a few days after the death of our dear friend Gregory Magee in November of 2007, who wrote both sides of this, one of our favorite Twinight singles. “So Good To Have You Home Again” is a magical piece of group harmony, recorded when the band were still in high school. “Put Out The Fire” is a fine piece of frenetic, driving funk that has the rare quality of appealing to the Northern soul scene as well. Essential, and a great memoriam for an overlooked talent.
