On the A-side, “El Caz,” The So Ons get a hand from horn players of both Lee Fields and Charles Bradley’s bands, who combine to create an epic funk throw down rooted in afro-psych and Ethiopian Jazz. On the flip, The So Ons demonstrates their knack for creating sparse, textural music with hazy grooves on “Burger Money.”
