Denmark's Thomas Barfod drops his 2nd single on Get Physical which is an even bigger bomb than the previous '1995' was. On 'Neon Strobe' Barford's past experience as a drummer in b and Whomadewho {Gomma} plays a huge role here as he lays dow n driving percussion punctuated with maracas and hissing sna res while pulsing snares and gritty synths give this one a d irty acid funk vibe that works really well. The next cut 'M ind The Others' opens with tapped percussion and drum breaks which build with another mighty analogue bassline drop and clipped stabs. On the flip we get 2 more gems, our fave is t he sub-bass filled roller 'For Your Eyes' with its funky dru m rhythms and tingling snares.
