Revelashen is a complete departure from Paul and Jamie’s normal shtick. Gone are the constant and frankly predictable horror themes. Gone are the unnecessary skits and gone is all the filler. Instead, we have a more bare-bones album that kicks you in the guts with every passing track. Lyrical flexes are phenomenal, the beats pound, flows are masterful. Twiztid is completely in control on this album, which is refreshing considering their last album, Generation Nightmare felt like the album was running amok with no direction. Revelashen is focused, consistent, and minimalist in all the right ways.
