Cover version of classic country/funk/blues track by Area Code 615, a band made up of Nashville session players. A 1973 release, it came to prominence in NYC when originally caned by Jellybean @ the fabulous Funhouse, where they called it "that hillbilly jam", until people figured out what it was. It was also famous for being the theme music for the BBC's "Old Grey Whistle Test", a hugely popular English music show that ran from the early 70s, to the late 80s. The UB's did a pretty straight-up cover, albeit stripped down, but then Todd Terry jacked it up for the EP. 4 versions, to suite your mood.
