This is a compilation of artists making electronic music outside of the cities which are historically renowned for dance music. Coming from Oklahoma City, we believe contemporary media should be accessible by anyone, regardless of where you live. All of these artists are indirectly connected through their drive to make something of where they live, not to try to make their hometown exactly like Berlin or New York. Instead, these artists take what is unique about their home-cities and amplify those idiosyncrasies to make something both rare and adventurous.
This is for them as well as anyone else living in a small town who wants to make dance music, throw raves, put out records, etc. We hope you reach out to people on this cassette. The night-time belongs to us, and we don’t have to dream alone.
