Rolling with last week's remix pressure from Various, we've got some more delectable refixes lopped off their Versus album with Actress and Rustie versioning 'Lost' and 'In This'. Completely flipping 'Lost' on its head, Actress takes one of their most sublime neo-folk tunes and feeds it through his squashed dancefloor filter, straining off vocal motifs and dripping them into a heavily compressed house groove. Rustie's mix of 'In This' divides opinion round these parts, it's probably just the heavily accented vocal that puts some people off, but personally I think this is a rum killer, with the urgency of the vocals matched by unhinged synthlines and neatly offset by tumbling electro-soul drum samples. As ever, it's an achingly smart addition to the Various catalogue and one of our unreservedly recommended items for this week.
