Third release from If Symptoms Persist catches Wedge & Aesoteric in moody and cinematic form, backed with a Gemmy remix. 'Detached Reality' is remorselessly dark, lending noir cinematic atmopsherics to a technoid 4/4 roller, while 'A Nigth On The Wonk' leans on a halfstep tip with off kilter haunted fairground samples. We'd probably be writing our final goodbyes by now if it wasn't for the Gemmy mix on the flip, adding some tangy synths and a thickened bass-stepping vibe to make this work in the dance. Fans of Gatekeeper or Bristol's darker underbelly should check this.
