Zomby unleashes more rave duppies from the archive with seven shapeshifting takes on hardcore jungle tekno, grime, and mutant wonk. We could try and pinpoint this gear to certain phases of Zomby’s oeuvre, but that’s beside the point, as they really add up to a strong cross-section of his swag; there’s frothed ambient grime in ‘Aquarium’, 8-bit bleep ’n bass permutations in ‘Balloon People’, and wide-eyed jungle-tekno on ‘CYAN’, plus a haunted late night wprlout in ‘Descend’, raggo brukbeat ‘ardcore in ‘Eclipse 92’, and one of his romantic kiss-offs in the billowing pads of ‘Wild’.
