Bjork - Wanderlust Remixes - 12" Vinyl

Ratatat, the XL-signed instrumental duo formed by Evan Mast and Mike Stroud have scored themselves a remix slot on this new Bjork white label, reworking the excellent 'Wanderlust' in a fashion that instantly brings to mind Mast's E*Vax heyday. A winning combination of fluttering electronic warmth and lively riffing is at the heart of the remix, which switches the original melody around, but never at the expense of Bjork's fiery vocal, which remains respectfully intact. Bjork's nowhere to be found on the B-side, which harbours an instrumental version of Mark Stent's mix, capturing the full glory of the production with its amazing musique concrete foghorn-warping introduction. Needless to say, this won't be around for long...
