Considered to be among Mingus best albums, Tijuana Moods was recorded in the summer of 1957. Inspired by a trip to that well-known city of perdition, songs like "Ysabels Table Dance" and "Los Mariachis" were meant to evoke the moods of many a mans tequila-fueled misadventures there.
