Heidelberg legend Dirk Mantei is back with his first 12-inch in 21 years under the D-Man alias. Also renowned for the being the man behind the legendary Mannheim clubbing institution HD800, Mantei's recording career was much more prolific in the early '90s - when he recorded under sveerla projects with David 'Move D' Moufang in the groups Kin Sun, More From The Posse and O.B.C. There's definitely sincere old school charm to the collection of tracks on Workshop 25, which were said to be produced between 2012 - 2014 for an online music project - he produced up to 52 tracks. The label has certainly handpicked up some fine moments from the project: it's a diverse collection of grooves featuring moments of introverted acid experimentation, slo-mo hypnotic techno and exactly the type of understated/dusty deep house that's in line with the label's usual aesthetic.
