Like a musical Soda-Stream, 'Orchestra Of Bubbles' sees the dense electronic machinations of Apparat given a short, sharp blast of Ellen Allien's carbonated dancefloor stylings - the result being this juxtaposition-saturated LP. Released through the generally bang-on Bptich, 'Orchestra Of Bubbles' opens with 'Turbo Dreams' and makes an immediate bid for the grubby dancefloor hinterland between Tejada-esque tech and borderline Trance (you heard!); the result being far more palatable than such a fusion might suggest. Delirious in it's steep ascent, 'Turbo Dreams' will come as no surprise to those who've seen Apparat play out live, encapsulating the hardboiled caste of IDM that has so engendered him to audiences across the globe, whilst Allien's contribution is obvious throughout; honking great dollops of crushed electronics. Next up is 'Way Out', a song which flirts with the spectre of mainstream trance yet somehow manages to come away with dignity - a situation repeated on the string-buoyed 'Retina' and micro-flecked 'Jet'. Elsewhere, 'Leave Me Alone' sounds like a Nik Kershaw chart-botherer, 'Don Not Break' could be HI-NRG remix of 'Windowlicker', whilst 'Bubbles' sees you out with a breathy trickle of marshmallow minimalism.
