One of the brothers from Brooklyn based electronic psychers Tonstartssbandht debuts his first Eola album on Matthewdavid’s Leaving imprint. The church gospels of Suburban America seem to shine through Dang, with opening track ‘B and O blues’ sounding like a modern day, drone inspired take on Otis G. Johnson’s crooning sermons. Crazy looping techniques, tape distortion, pedal wizardry and a great understanding of harmonies all form together to create something quite genuinely cerebral.
