Eyedlmode consisted of two friends, Rymskeme & J-Def. Hailing from the dense hoods adjacent to downtown San Francisco, they created a jazzy, soulful, and psychedelic sound closer to the boroughs of NYC than the residential blocks of Hunters Point, East Oakland, or Vallejo. The two got their start doing demos and performing in showcases for the influential SF- based Bomb HipHop Magazine, and recorded the full-length “Fogville” album in a bedroom studio on 4-tracktape with impressive detail and quality. Capturing their lived culture one sample and verse at a time, “Fogville” is an indelible capsule that brings you right back to that golden era of underground hip-hop; fully restored and presented with rare and unseen photos from the era, “Fogville” is a necessary addition to the classic hip-hop cannon.
