Fracture’s 0860 project continues to transmit. The latest episode, All Of The Massive, is presented as a 4 track EP featuring the much requested title track, previously only available as part of the 0860 mixtape, and 3 brand new fuzzy but fat Jungle tracks laden with radio chatter, characterful breaks and an authenticity that only a deep love of the culture can provide.
‘All Of The Massive’ pays homage to the UK Bleep & Bass sound that early Hardcore and Jungle drew on - warehouse acid riffs communicate the message until a lush and upbeat rave piano line intercepts the broadcast before crashing back into after dark mayhem.
‘What A Rush’ features an excited and passionate sample of Kool FM legend MC Freddie Supreme which sets the scene for a lush, drawn out and euphoric Lucky Spin style journey - “Oh my gosh, what a rush!”
The adverts were often as important as the music on Pirate Radio, providing listeners with information about the latest events - where they were and who was playing. ‘Selectors On Rotation’ is inspired by this bridge between radio and club.
‘Graveyard Slot’ closes the episode with a track strictly for the late night listeners. The 2am - 6am window on Pirate Radio is often where DJs would play the deeper cuts
