If you've been exploring the UK Bass scene of late you'll have no doubt peeped the name of Greena on your travels. As part of the Night Slugs axis alongside L-Vis and Bok Bok, he's been leading London on a merry dance through tropical bass climes with a blend of post-grime flex with an electric Funky stance. 'Tenzado' is the big bad party killer, displaying a firm grasp of proper subbass dynamics fused with exotic synth stabs, sound-system flares and the kind of bristling polyrhythmic kink that Brackles, Martin Kemp and Mosca are using to excite the dance to boiling point. Meanwhile, 'Actual Point' on the flip is a more stripped affair, concentrated on the rhythmic aspects with melodic percussion patterning made to launch bodies into swing mode while splashing cybotronik synth-wipes provide controlled heat bursts of energy. With a forthcoming remix on Night Slugs and plenty of rumoured releases in the pipeline we expect the (entirely justified) hype around this dude to grow exponentially in 2010 so get on it if you know what's good, son! Essential!
