London's tech house and minimal specialists Phonica launch their own imprint with the first release coming from their very own Hector and partner Bryant backed with a tougher steppers version from Appleblim and Al Tourettes. Their introductory cut 'Tension' is a deeper minimal tech track with deep house ambitions bleeding through on the thick set bass bump and Ron Trent influenced strings in the final third. On the flip Appleblim teams up with Al Tourettes for his second foray into alternative tempos this week, striding on a 130 bpm flex with crumpled kicksteppers patterns evolving into an ace dub-techno flex with warped vocals and a forward-thinking attitude. Big 12" that should appeal to fans of everyone from Claro to Peter Van Hoesen to Surgeon. Ace.
