In 2000 Mike Ladd initiated his concept trilogy of albums centred around a war between The Infesticons and The Majesticons. Two brilliant albums and ten years later the Majesticons marching band emerge from a bunker to find the war is over and no one can even remember who either side are. Alongside guests including Saul Williams, Creature, Juice Aleem and Seraphim, celebrated wordsmith Ladd gives an album of raw punky blues topping brash MPC beats that's already been described as "Dinosaur Jr by Black people". At times they come across like TV on The Radio going hiphop like on 'Forever Anthem' or Gaslamp Killer-wild on 'Kick Anthem', while 'World Sin Anthem' opts for glitched folk and the remarkable 'Skys Anthem' is a lovely acoustic effort scuffed with vinyl noise.
