First up is Jah Wednesday from Janner and Snoman, currently residing in Belgium. Sweet sounding oragn skank leads into rock solid beats which in turn are backed up by a thunderous, brooding bassline that morphs constantly throughout the track. Intense pressure on this, start to finish. Croydon exile Defekta steps up to the table for the first time with Dub One, a fine blend of deep techy atmospheres and classic skank-fuelled dub. The Gritty bass throbs in and out of the deep layered grooves keeping the flow nice and steady. Rumdog is probably not the sound you would expect from one of Rodells productions - known to most in the hard techno scene and of late in the technoid dnb scene, working alongside Raiden in The Dying Punks. Rumdog is an organic sound that builds around a simple but infectious synth line complemented with dynamic delays and reverbs. Last but by no means least is Janner, here delivering a track full of deep, heaving bass filtered in and out of a typical Janner styled mix.. Limited upfront copies!
