Axis 57 catches Jeff in efficient, minimal mode over four new productions. They're not quite as spacey as his amazing SITS 12"s but there's still got that typical astral yearning going on. 'Precision' is crispy, aquatic, streamlined. 'Human To Machine Connection' is more melodic, an encrypted electronic communique. 'The Rhythm Within' feels on the brink of some kinda madness, haunted by dubbed out vocals (very unusual for a Mills track!) but keeping it together with perfectly composed rhythms. 'Guidance' is beatless, a lush symphony of Hi-Tech Detroit jazz signatures and sublime synthetic strings.
