Razor N Tape co-founder JKriv originally launched his 'Bedits' re-edits project (so called because he made them while sat in bed) last year as a digital-only series. Due to popular demand, he's now brought some choice cuts from the series to wax for the first time. Opener 'Breaks Them Free' is a fine, punchy extension and rearrangement of Black Box's breakbeat-driven 1990 Italian house hit 'Everybody, Everybody', while 'Say Wut' is an electric piano-rich chunk of deep house haziness topped off with effects-laden, eyes-closed r&b vocal snippets. Over on side B, 'It's Freeky' joins the dots between 21st century r&b and classic disco in a rolling house style, and 'More 2 Life' re-frames an old Bjork cut as a chunky, throbbing peak-time house bumper.
