On the A side, Gusto transforms Los Amaya's "Catalan Rumba" into the seriously thumping, bass buzzing, handclapping monster of a track that is "Zapatero", while "Mochilla No Mas" beefs up the Orquestra Curro & Crescencio Camacho original with heavy drums, vocal chops and a booming bassline. On the flip, we head towards Puerto Rico as Rafael Cortijo's "Sorongo" gets a nasty drum re-versioning with plenty of attitude and delay, while things wrap up on an uptempo dancefloor trip do Brasil with a Samba-House take on Dom um Romao's "Ginga Gingou". An absolute essential platter for the new Latin remix sound - and as always, available only on limited vinyl and never on digital.
