Sound Mirrors was initially composed by Manuela Vilanova and Lila Tirando a Violeta for a 12 hour performative installation at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
Soon after, when quarantine took place, the production of the piece continued online with both Lila in Uruguay and Manuela in Belgium, summarizing the sounds originally intended for the exhibition on this 30 minute generative ambient piece, resulting on an intimate internet collaboration, fueled by field recordings of Uruguayan wildlife, gregorian chants, spoken words by the artists & ethereal soundscapes made with hardware synthesizers.
