LV & Quarta 330 form an unlikely but attractive alliance for the latest Hyperdub twelve. Apparently the pair came together a day after the label's 5th anniversary party, succesfully exchanging relatively alien ideas and sounds. On 'Hylo' Quarta's 8-bit gameboy melodies are woven into a snapping future steppers pattern including a gorgeous breakdown reminiscent of something Sakamoto might have cooked up in the early 80s. 'Suzuran' follows as their remix of Quarta's remix of Japanese chiptune producer, Dong. Again, LV's shuffle 'n skip patterns adroitly mingle with the sonorous bleeps of the original for an exotic trip to pixellated planes unknown.
