The 2nd in the 3 part YO-7 series has some new old school inspired sludge madness from label head Marshall Applewhite. "Crunching" is a toss to a time ruled by pianos, lush pads and breakbeats. While the song may start a bit flight and hype it quickly drops off into an acidic wonderland of sub pressure and squelches. The flip side, "Knock It Off", features something a bit more industrial in nature, drawing a lot on 90s house & techno, this is a true dance floor burner.
