This 1957 recording is the soundtrack to the LOUIS MALLE film of the same title and was improvised live in the studio while the musicians watched the movie. Its modal sound is a precursor to his classic "KIND OF BLUE" which was recorded not long after. Also features the great drummer KENNY CLARKE.
