"Nacho Lovers is the nom du dancefloor of Andrew Ross and Scott Seewhale, a pair of Torontonians who first bonded over a shared love of classic Chicago house and Detroit techno. These days, they're crafting some acidic, synth-draped dance neo-classics of their own, and their first official release for A-Trak and Catchdubs' imprint is already turning heads. (They just got off the mega Fool's Gold Remixed tour with a whole slew of their labelmates.) Whether it's the chugging, hyper-repetitive throb of "Acid Life", the jagged, soul-sampling "Go On", or one of the excellent remixes they got here - might I suggest DJ Eli / Eli Escobar's Bmore-ified take on "Acid Life"? - there's some serious heat for your winter crate contained herein. Also includes a remix from label homies and fellow Canadians Jokers of the Scene. Recommended.
