Originally released in 1979, his debut album was full of diverse sounds, with driving funk, sweeping disco grooves, syrupy ballads, reggae, JACKSON 5-esque pop, and finger-lickin soul. But at its core was the custom "SEKELE" groove of his native Cameroon.
