Here we have a 7” featuring two tracks from the forthcoming Blue Note: Reimagined album on which modern artists take on jazz classics. Side one sees the intoxicating vocals of Poppy Ajudah adorn her version of Herbie Hancock’s Watermelon Man whilst on side two we have South African indie kid Skinny Pelembe reinterpreting Illusion, originally by American pianist Andrew Hill.
A | Watermelon Man |
B | Silly Apparition (Illusion) |
