South London production duo Pusherman presents The Donuts EP, identifiably a newborn of grime, UK funky, techno and house, all rolled into one. "Donuts," featuring an introductory vocal from Wiley, is a 4/4 dancefloor track influenced by kuduro rhythms, while "The People" is a garage-tinged tune with organic claps and off-kilter beats. Diamond Bass brings subtle kuduro flavors to his remix of "Donuts," while Naive Machine reworks "The People" into a sultry, leftfield slow jam that's all static textures and emotive synth-work.
