Juanita Bonita" is the final instalment in the trio of limited edition 7"s from Quantic's deep, tropical dub inspired project, Quantic Presenta Flowering Inferno. A melodic slice of perfection, with mellow drums and double bass. The evocative piano part is played by legendary Peruvian pianist Alfredo Linares who put in a series of show-stealing performances when he appeared in the UK for the first time as part of The Quantic Soul Orchestra's tour in March.
On the flip, you'll find "Dub Del Pacifico". With a full vocal sung in Spanish, this song is a departure from the breezy feel of the A side, with a more hard-edged sound and a deeper dub influence, featuring traditional Colombian instruments such as the Timbiqui Coro, and Edgardo Manuel on trombone.
