this limited edition 7" from Mathew Curry's Safety Scissors project features two songs which, although on the forthcoming LP, are presented here in a pre-produced state that won't be availble anywhere else. Anywhere! You hear? Featuring Erlend Oye on vocals, the A-side is a knotty chunk of acoustic folk which strums forward in a delicate fashion, consisting of only guitars, hushed bass and Oye's love-sick vocals. Neither twee nor cloying, 'Sunlight's On The Other Side' is lo-fi in the very best sense of the term, whilst the B-side 'Breastbone' is supplemented by some electrics and drums, resulting in an altogether far too catchy pop song.
