Dancehall artists SK Simeon & Yaw Faso join forces for the Maskya EP. The four track release is a split with Machinedrum remixes of SK Simeon’s “Doper Than Dope” & “Ram Dancehall” on side A and remixes of Yaw Faso’s “All of Mi Life” & “Memories” on side B.
Up top SK Simeon’s Cutty Ranks nod Doper Than Dope is gal-vanised with gyrating bass, spiralling snare rolls and whipping synth stabs next to a footwork jungle blaze up of his Ram Dancehall romp.
Dung below, Yaw Faso’s All Mi Life is run thru with teetering soca snares and ruddy Sleng Teng style bass, where Memories is boosted with coiled amen breaks on a direct dancehall flex.
