The Missing Link (aka Matt Cavender) is truly one of the jewels in the Wagon Repair crown. For this latest 12" he kicks off with some sophisticated 4/4 electronics on 'Bur', a track that favours disembodied processed recordings over more run-of-the-mill percussive elements. Title track, 'Uncle Bill's Cabin' is entirely different beast, evoking the Kompakt sounds of yesteryear with a slippery schaffel track.
