Software Records debut the lithe machine jams of Thug Entrancer from Denver's DIY scene via Southside Chicago. His debut album, 'Death After Life' slots neatly alongside the likes of Huerco S and Slava on the fine roster curated by Daniel Lopatin aka Oneohtrix Point Never, yet clearly holds his ground with an economical synthesis of real-time hardware jams and the fibrillating Footwork rhythms of his recently adopted 'hood. For the most glib comparison, 'Death After Life' is like Container doing juke, but there's a lightness of touch at play in his work which defies that description and identifies a leaner approach also comparable with Stellar Om Source and even Chris Carter's 'Spaces Between' album.
