Possibly the coolest record on Big Dada since the Spank Rock album comes from Toronto's Thunderheist, a Girl/Boy Singer/Producer duo trading in a very neat line of booty bumping luxury disco with big potential. 'Sweet 16' is a cheeky track dedictated to the temptations of jail-bait from what we can ascertain, with singer Isis delivering ice cool lyrics somewhere between M.I.A style rap and something far sexier, and button pusher Grahmzilla crafting 80's inspired and bass heavy electrocrunk backing. Eli Escobar up's the sleaze factor with a propulsive electrofunk remix, and the duo get back to it with Southern bounce styled 'Cruise Low' and the camp NRG of 'Whateveruneed' on the flip. An intriguing package and a short sharp taste of what's to come on their forthcoming debut album for Big Dada. Smart.
