Description

After releasing his excellent solo album, The Land Of The Way It Is, last August, touring, producing and releasing Duke01's Steroid Stereo, he's back with another solo album. New York Telephone is a special album, in that it's a deep reflection on New York, where Uncommon Nasa was born and raised and has built his career. As an emcee, Nasa is inspired by the words of the famed screenwriter and playwright Rod Serling. In response to a question about how he'd like to be remembered 100 years from now, Serling simply said "as a "writer." Nasa's music is a story of self-often focusing on defining moments in his life and current events that strike a chord.

Nasa has a love for New York like a child loves its mother. Raised on Staten Island, Nasa reps NYC with a ferocious pride. When New York's indie hip-hop boom hit in the 90s, Nasa was there as a devoted attendee of events, listener of late night radio and buyer of vinyl... then, he became involved. And as the scene has evolved and the city has changed, Nasa has been dedicated to it every step of the way. His newest album, New York Telephone, reflects his love for his home, the way it has nurtured the indie hip hop art form, and how it continues to be most the most influential city in the world.

The re-release of New York Telephone on LP has full color LP jacket with stunning NY Telephone blue vinyl and comes bundled with exclusive content downloads for in-store vinyl buyers which include the album version, instrumentals & accapellas of the entire album, and a 7 song EP of official remixes of New York Telephone from top tier hip hop artists like Rob Sonic (Hail Mary Mallon), Willie Green, Zilla Rocca (Mello Music Group) and more! All of this is included in the download card for vinyl-only purchases and will not be available for purchase digitally.
