The sheer scope of the project is immense and the artists involved speak for themselves : Dabrye turns in a killer new joint, which reminds me of his classic and much sought after work for the Eastern Devlopments label, everyone's favourite techno man-of-the-moment Matthew Dear (aka Audion) offers up another slab of beat laden minimalism, our much championed Junior Boys throw a superb post-house-pop gem into the mix, L'usine delivers something totally unusual - laced with guitar. Ambient overlord Tim Hecker contributes his usual (and always reliable) grainy drones, and even arch-idmer Richard Devine gets a look in. Not only does the compilation feature all these names, but the tracks are exclusive to the compilation and there's even a hugely cute little comic strip inside the package, making this about as indispensible as compilations get.
