Instant Love Volume 1'' is a collection of love songs sung between women for the first time, taking classic songs originally sung by men to women and keeping the pronouns. ''Instant Love'' celebrates mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, lovers, and everything in between. Instant Records is a NYC indie label run by The Orchard founder and producer Richard Gottehrer. Richard started as a Brill Building songwriter and penned classics ''My Boyfriend's Back,'' ''Sorrow,'' and ''I Want Candy'' as part of epic faux rock group The Strangeloves. He went on to produce early albums by The Go Go's and Blondie, as well as more recent albums by The Raveonettes and Dum Dum Girls. Richard oversees all production on ''Instant Love.'' His co-pilot Allison Zatarain dreamt up the idea, filling a massive void in music.
