Ragz and Turbitto's Naya Beat label has thus far excelled at blending old and new South Asian music with 21st century house, disco and Balearica. they once more invite admired producers and artist friends to rework tracks from the label's growing catalogue. The key cut here - at least in terms of sheer dancefloor potential - is Woolfy v Projections' fine revision of Ragz & Turbitto's 'Nanan Da Oyar De Gaya'. Sitting somewhere between psychedelic Indian electrofunk and Tom Tom Club's 'Wordyrappinghood', it's a stellar, funky and sub-heavy rub. Elsewhere, Turbitto and Ragz give hyped outfit Boys Shorts the Naya Beat makeover, Psychemagik man Thomas Banks turns Pinky Ann Rihal's 'Tru Asia' into a dark wave throbber and Dino Soccio provides a fine disco extension of Asha Pushli and Say She She's 'Pawa'.
