Music From Memory present a 12" of four tracks from Workdub's elusive privately released albums. Virgil Work Jr and Nicholas Georgieff developed Workdub through weekly improvised jam sessions. Georgieff experimented with rhythm programming, midi, digital effects and sound synthesis whilst Virgil would create intricate rhythm patterns for each song, playing various drum, percussion and synthesizer parts by hand. Together the pair combined ambient music with driving percussive rhythms and melody creating a very ethereal dubbed out instrumental sound which moves between funk, new wave and industrial music. Influenced by: Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wally Badarou, Kraftwerk and Larry Heard.
