XI - Immunity/Squeeze - 12" Vinyl

XI drops the tempo and ups the groove on two Basswise House swingers for Orca. 'Immunity' rolls on plush, offset subbass and crisply swung snares ornamented with dusty chords, but it's the subtle, stealthy arrangement of elements which should endear it to the more sophisticated 'floors. On flipside 'Squeeze' it sounds like he's been taking a few notes from Zomby, coming with lean, bumpy post-Garage drum programming and sparkling synths also nodding to the recent Kuedo album.
