Penza Penza, the Estonian experimental/lo-fi big band headed by Misha Panfilov, keeps things gloriously loose on this 7" for Funk Night with two cuts that are rooted in the dusty, groove-heavy end of funk. 'The Least Possible Amount Of Responsibility' is a sound that doesn't seem interested in taking life too seriously. The bass rolls and the leads sing with an 8bit edge while 'Under The Stone' offers a shorter trip into warmer, sun-baked afternoon territory. It still has some left-of-centre synth patterns and incongruous textures which make it all the more alluring and unusual.
